Editorial Assistant

Are you passionate and knowledgeable about horses, enthusiastic, organised and full of ideas for great content to excite readers?

DJ Murphy, publishers of Horse&Rider and PONY magazines, has a vacancy for someone to join our small, friendly, highly-motivated team. You’ll work across both titles managing the regular sections, dealing with reader correspondence, writing content and managing the admin that makes the magazines run smoothly.

The right candidate has a wealth of horsey experience alongside a passion for journalism and writing incisive, exciting content for print and online. You must have excellent computer skills (InDesign skills an advantage), perfect English, be flexible and able to work under pressure.

This is a full-time, permanent, position based at our offices in Grayshott, Surrey. Candidates must have a full driving licence.

re you passionate about children’s publishing? Are you experienced in magazine editorial? Are you highly organised and brimming with ideas for exciting and engaging content for children?

DJ Murphy Publishers has a vacancy for someone to join our small, friendly, highly-motivated team. You’ll work with the Editor across the whole portfolio of children’s titles writing features and initiating content, subbing, managing approvals, and ensuring the process runs smoothly from conception through to press.

The right candidate will have experience within magazine editorial, preferable within the children’s sector, and a passion for children’s publishing. You must be proficient in InDesign (Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage, but not a requirement), have perfect command of the English language, be flexible, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
