Part-Time Production Controller Vacancy
We are looking for someone to oversee the production across our portfolio of leading consumer magazines. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. An excellent telephone manner, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines are all essential qualities. A flair for design and copy writing would be an advantage.
Day to day duties involve calling in advertising copy to ensure it is submitted to schedule; designing, editing and proofing adverts to a brief; liaising with advertisers, our repro house and printers; getting print quotes plus an overall responsibility for making sure press deadlines are met.
There can be some flexibility on hours around our press deadlines but this role will be 20 hours per week
The Production role will provide full production support across all areas of the business, including marketing, online and design, and will therefore require interaction and cooperation with all departments and personnel within the company.

Are you passionate about children’s publishing? Are you experienced in magazine editorial? Are you highly organised and brimming with ideas for exciting and engaging content for children?
DJ Murphy Publishers has a vacancy for someone to join our small, friendly, highly-motivated team. You’ll work with the Editor across the whole portfolio of children’s titles writing features and initiating content, subbing, managing approvals, and ensuring the process runs smoothly from conception through to press.
The right candidate will have experience within magazine editorial, preferable within the children’s sector, and a passion for children’s publishing. You must be proficient in InDesign (Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage, but not a requirement), have perfect command of the English language, be flexible, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
This is a full-time, permanent, position based at our offices in Grayshott, Surrey. Candidates must have a full driving licence.
