Junior Designer / Designer (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about print design? Do have an interest in magazines, know Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator – inside out and want to work in a fun, deadline-driven environment?

D J Murphy publishers is looking for a Junior Designer / Designer to work across its portfolio of market-leading magazines. As part of our design team, you’ll be responsible for sections of the titles, producing exciting layouts within an established style. You’ll also be responsible for post-production work, as well as working on marketing projects and one-off briefs. You must be proactive, keen to learn and a real team player, and able to juggle multiple deadlines across different projects. Of course, you’re very organised and a good communicator, with excellent attention to detail.

Skills and qualifications:
• A good understanding of layout design and typography
• Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to take instruction and develop skill sets
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently in a Junior role with one to three years design experience within a publishing/media/design agency who is ready to step up to the next level, or a creative graduate with excellent technical ability looking for a career in publishing.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our offices in Grayshott, Surrey.
